Reflection on Blogging

I opened my first blog site at the beginning of class and took good notes on what to do and how to do it for the blogging. I have been working hard to schedule time for the blogs to make sure my journals get completed and on time. I enjoyed being able to reflect on the class projects. One project did not work very well for me. My technology had to be updated and improved due to viruses. The things that really worked in the blog is that I had more fun choosing the contrast options than I did creating the website. Others have looked at the blog page and say it looks very well. Next time I won’t just type everything in Micro Word I’ll post them right away so others can view them if they choose to do so in the future.
The knowledge I have gained from IM260 is that I did know how to use the Micro Word program and I just needed a reminder. Doing Annotated Bibliography’s are not as hard as they look any more and I am more comfortable now going to my other classes because I can use the online Library from anywhere in the palm of my hand. I created a free website of my own and I am not longer a skeptic of Twitter. I completed a twenty-four hour disconnect and I love these because you truly do feel relaxed. There is nothing better than taking the family and leaving to go on a camping trip during the spring, summer, or fall times of the year. Thank you IM260 for teaching me more about the internet that I did not know yet. I will always push myself to learn as much as I can for children and my students.

Reflection on Twitter

I was not a fan of the Twitter project I will admit to that right away. I started considering different ideas that people have shared on Twitter. Took a week to start to feel comfortable with Twitter. I started posting as many ideas I thought was valid to myself and the kind of job I am pursuing right now. I enjoyed the fact that there are many ideas about nutrition and how to create a good learning environment for the students I will be working with in my classroom in the future. I started to enjoy looking around on Twitter. I kept it professional and did not Tweet about the negative posts. Hashtags are not as horrible as I thought they would be to learn. I still will not say hashtag (***) words. The next time I must do a big project I will not say, “This is impossible” instead I will say, “I have not tried this YET and I will give it a try”.  http://twitter.com/@stephan76154494.

Reflection for LinkedIn

I started by getting the assignments done. I took good notes and had all the advice from the three strong LinkedIn links for advice. I realized that I have a long way to go before I graduate college and there will be more skills to be added in time. I created my profile and made a few changes as I went along. Here is my profile link. (  linkedin.com/in/stephanie-gregoire-415a4b142  ) I enjoyed created my online profile because I have never created a profile before for a potential job in the future. I found many people I already know from my job and past jobs. For LinkedIn, it really worked to have my professional picture from work ready and available to put a photo on my profile. Plus having internet to do the activity. The next time I log into my LinkedIn will be when I complete ever new class till I graduate with my Master’s Degree in Special Education.

Before Starting LinedIn

To start my LinkedIn account, I plan to do all the assignments and created a descriptive resume for this class assignment. I will keep in mind that this is my professional resume for an online out look of myself. I have never heard of LinkedIn. I do know a few people in my family once I mentioned this link, have an account. I was introduced to the site before I started this blog. This project is one that I feel comfortable exploring. I can always add more the further I get with my schooling.

Website Reflection

I created a website about my research and published it. I found the three items I wanted to put on my website and there are only two locations in the menu button. I enjoyed using my own pictures for this website creation and seeing my own work in the end. I had a few suggestions from some classmates and put my own twist into the design. I started the website just looking at my design I draw out and stuck with the layout. Next time I will for sure have all my pictures ready to go early. For the most part I really enjoyed this project. Here is my finished product.     http://smgregIM260.weebly.com

Before Starting The Website

I have created two websites in my past doing side jobs at home with Vemma and Isagenix. I had to pay for those websites and I am worried I will have to pay for this one. I have been doing the reading and taking notes. I have been gathering pictures for this Website to be unique and not anyone else’s work just pasted on a page. The Special Education and Technology may have been a hard subject to cover for a website project. There are many things you can provide and to write about. You only have so much space and very little time to accomplish this project. I am feeling really worried because I need an A on this assignment. I am going to work through this hot weather in my home to get more than everything completed and turned in. There are many little assignments to do in this project alone. I know I can finish this and I will be proud of how hard I push myself.

Reflection For The Survey and Infograph

I started and finished the survey. Sent the forms out to 75 people and waited till the last possible hour to write the analysis paper on the survey. Only 12 people replied to the survey and for the ones that did not sent a reply that they will not take part in the feedback of a school project. I enjoyed making the survey for this class project. I have everything ready to turn in. The infograph was easy to do because I just had to answer the questions and post pictures with the URL’s. Next time I will send out 500 messages for a better analysis at the end of the survey.   https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Z6-bWuzrBConWK7TpFyISdt3U_Qn4yoqW82rJFFascg/edit#responses

Before Starting The Surveys/Infograph Project

I am familiar with doing surveys from doing a class with one of my students that I work with at my job. I have used the google forms and have created two in the past year. I must consider the infographs to see what they are and how to do one for the discussions. The notes look easy to do this week. I feel comfortable doing this project. I have questions written down for the survey already to get started.

Reflection To The Annotated Bibliography

I started at the top of the homework page and worked till I made it to the bottom. I read my ten articles and did as what was instructed to do and I turned my very first Annotated Bibliography. I enjoyed the fact that the project was very easy going. The notes were easy to write and very organized to accomplish them in one day. The technology worked very well for me when I finished all the assignments and turning them all in on time. If I ever must do another assignment like this assignment I will be confident that I can do a better and more efficient job the next time.

Before Starting the Annotated Bibliography

I will have to read all the directions for a bibliography and figure out what they are and how they are used. I will do one part of the assignment at a time and turn them in. My initial ideas of this project are that you must read journals created by others in the library and write about what you read. Take your notes and do a Kwhl. The way I feel about this project is that I am finding time to get all the work turned in on time to be hard and time consuming. I must do the homework at late hours due to my children always needing my time for their needs.

Before Starting Twitter

The first thing I must do for Twitter is start an account. I have had Twitter on my smart phone since I purchased the device. I will read how to use the hashtag part of the assignment. I will call a friend to ask questions and watch my friend post things. Follow people that are interested in the same things as myself and have professional Twitter pages. Create my profile and start my first post. Twitter is the one social network I am not interested in. This project will be a good experience for me. There is a lot of information out there and I really love to read on how to better myself for others.

Technology Disconnect

The hardest part of the technology disconnect was the fact that I started at noon and ended at noon the following day, and the part when I had to leave work early because I did not feel very well. I arrived early to pick my daughter up and daycare was shocked that I did not call to inform them of my short day at work. I also could not tell my husband that I already picked our daughter up and was at home most of the day. There really was not a challenging part of the disconnect because I simply shut off all the devices and had a very quiet day and evening. I was most surprised about the fact that I felt amazing when I was done with the entire project and hand wrote all my notes so I could turn everything in as soon as I am done typing it all up. My husband arrived home and got mad at me because I was supposed to load the camper so we could take off right after work the next day. He said he called me three times even though I made plenty of reminders, and even going as far as writing the message on the windshield towards the bottom by the door of the car. He forgave me once he saw I was not feeling well. I told him the phone has been off all day and pointed at it. He gave me a glass of water and took my temperate. I did not enjoy this assignment because I feel like I was overwhelmed and stressed out which caused me to be stressed out. In the end I did the worksheets, had the homework all ready to go, and spent time with my daughter at the end of the 24 hours. I felt like a new person when the project was over.

Prior to the 24 hour technology disconnect

Prior to the to the disconnect, I schooled the day and time I am going to start the 24 hour disconnect. I made a message to send to all contacts that I am just fine. I will not answer any phones or emails for 24 hours to do a homework assignment. The only thing that will be challenging to the disconnect is asking my husband to stop and get items before he comes home. Other than that, I will be busy with the kids and go for a walk. Cleaning the house would take a chunk of the time. Perhaps doing a lot of laundry as well just to stay busy. The radio would be the piece of technology that I use to stay awake while driving. The easiest piece of technology to get rid of for the day would be the cell phone, landline phone, television, and the computer. This assignment is not one that I am looking forward to because of the other class I am taking needs a lot of typing, video notes, and online worksheets. I fear the fact that I will fall behind in both of my classes.

Initial Journal Reflection

The journal is easier than I thought it would be. I started a profile on blogger and answered the questions given for the assignment and published the blog. I have started looking for pictures and looked up colors to go with the picture. There was nothing to the first blog. I learned that there are free blogs and there are some you must pay for to have a URL on google. By getting the project started really worked. Next time I will be able to just log on and start writing.
I plan to accomplish my projects by reading the directions for every project and making sure everything that is required for that project gets turned in. Looking at all the assignments that are required is a little stressful. But by taking a deep breath and going through everything during my set times to do the work everything will be done on time. I have never done a blog or a journal before, but I have been on Facebook since Facebook started.

Creating a better blog page IM422 8/2/2017

I chose to use my old blogger account for this blog assignment. The new gadgets I added are a profile picture as an avatar. There was also a...
